Travis Landan Laqua, Age 34, died October 5th, 2020 at his home in Otsego, MN. Previously from Andover, MN. He was born 1/17/86 in St. Paul, MN to Charles Laqua and Bonnie (Havir) Leslie. On September 26, 2007 Travis joined the Minnesota Army National Guard where he served as Field Artillery Specialist. He was deployed to Iraq in 2009 for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Following his return, he was employed at Crow Wing Transport for 8 years in Operations. Travis then graduated from Hennepin Technical College with a degree in architectural drafting. Soon after graduation he began working at Mortenson Construction. On May 17th, 2014 Travis married his love Justine Brue. In 2016 they welcomed MaKenna Leigh and Carter Liam in 2018.
Throughout life Travis was passionate about everything he did, whether it was playing fantasy football, working on his house, woodworking, and mechanics and spending time with family or friends. Travis adored his children above all things and included them in many of his interests including ice fishing, sports (hockey), four-wheeling, and funny antics. He will always be remembered as an amazing father.
He is survived by his wife Justine (Brue) Laqua. Parents Charlie Laqua and Bonnie Leslie. Children Taylor, Haylee, MaKenna and Carter. Sisters Melinda, Jackie (Matt) and Angie (Nate) Dahle. Also survived by Erik and Anita Brue, Nick (Kim), Zach (Taylor), family and friends.
Gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, October 14th at Serenity Village Community Church, 4100 Douglas Dr. N, Crystal 55422. The viewing will take place from 10am to 12pm followed by a celebration of life at 12:30pm with a luncheon to follow. Due to COVID restrictions, and seating limitations please use the sign-up link for Wednesday’s service for seating reservations which are required at the church
