Jeanette L. Ricci, 58, of Gurnee Illinois passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020. She was born on July 2nd, 1962. Jeanette was initially diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2011, and courageously battled for almost 10 years, against all odds.
She worked for the United States Postal Service for just shy of 35 years. She was an incredibly hard worker who loved to stay active. Throughout her life she found a way to be involved in the sport she loved: softball. From her high school team, park district teams, travel teams (one of which was inducted into the Hall of Fame), to eventually coaching her daughters’ teams, she brought her athleticism and passion to each team she influenced.
Jeanette loved her family above all else. Having a house full of family and friends were some of her greatest days. She is the youngest of 6 siblings and was extremely close to all. Her favorite memories to share were from times when they were all together.
This past February, she was there to welcome her first grandson into the world. She loved to FaceTime frequently, and spend the weekends with him, feeding him and playing together.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Craig. Daughters, Amanda (Jamie) and Amy, stepson, Ryan (Brittany) and grandson, Jason.
