As a young man he was known for being a good friend and the leader of the marching band. After college he spent most of his career working for GMAC, a subsidiary of GM, and, like his favorite car the ’57 Chevy, he was a much loved classic model, never to be reproduced. An icon to his family.
Over the years he lived with his loved ones is Louisville, KY, New Albany, IN, Nashville, TN, Richmond, VA, Seattle, WA and, finally, Portland, OR. Wherever his homestead at the time, he quickly acquired the moniker “Gentle Ben.” His loving nature and gentlemanly character will not be forgotten. He is survived by his loving wife, to whom he was married for 56 years, as well as three children, David, Natalie and Kimberly.
