Born in Providence, son of the late David B. and Olive E. (Studley) Glover, he had resided in Swansea, then moved to Easton, New Hampshire for 30 years where he restored and built homes, then retired to North Carolina. Following the passing of Katherine, he moved back to the area where he met Cecilia and moved to Portsmouth, Rhode Island.
Mr. Glover had a successful career as a carpenter and excelled at making shaker furniture. He served in the National Guard, a member of the Masons of the Scottish-Rite and spent time doing missionary work overseas.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Robert C. Glover III and his wife Becky of Fairhaven and Holly Jean Glover of Winthrop; his grandchildren, Robert Ian C. Glover IV of Carrollton, TX and Andrew John Glover and his wife Jessica of Lynchburg, VA. He was predeceased by a brother, David Glover.
