Jim R. Wells , age 73, passed away at his home with his wife Mary beside him on Saturday, Oct 10, 2020. Jim was born in Shaw, Mississippi on March 23, 1947. He spent most of his youth and young adult life living in the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
Jim was drafted by Uncle Sam and served 3 years in the Army, going through training at Ft Polk, LA. He was then sent to Okinawa, Japan for 2 years, Returning to White Sands, New Mexico ending his call to duty.
After serving his country, Jim , was employed by Southwestern Bell and AT&T, a total of 20 yrs. After being laid off he ventured into starting his own communication company, Tritec Communications.
In 2017, Jim decided to retire to enjoy a more relaxing life. He finally had time for his hobbies which included beautiful woodworking projects, remodeling his home and helping others with their remodeling; when possible rebuilding his 1986 Monte Carlo, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his five grandchildren.
Surviving this wonderful man is his loving wife of forty eight years Mary Anne; daughters Jennifer Villarreal & husband Willie; Stefanie Aguilar & husband George; sister Diane Hinton & husband Sammy, Sonia Brewer; brother Roy Wells. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Julian Villarreal, Isabelle Villarreal, Alyssa Wells, Angelene Gonzales, George Aguilar Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Melton and Marie Wells, sisters Ruth Fratesi & Virginia Pennix, brothers, John Wells & Dean Wells. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 11:00 A.m. at Advantage Funeral Home, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081.
