Maria Dolores Stumpf, age 86, passed away peacefully in her home in Douglaston, NY on October 14, 2020. Born on October 30, 1933 in Honduras, Central America she was born to parents Jose Zeron and Juana Sabillon. She had two brothers who have since passed away. She migrated to the United States in 1953. She moved to New Hyde Park in 1971 where she raised her five children; Rose, Juanita, Richard, Paul, and Maria Deborah until finally moving to Douglaston in 1988.
She worked hard to support her children on her own as a Clerk Typist, working at Eagle Electric Mfg. Co. before being hired as a Payroll Clerk at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she worked for 25 years, retiring at the age of 65.
She enjoyed cooking and having lots of people over. Her heart and home were always open to everyone. She was a mother to so many more than just her five children. Above all, her first love was always our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Her love for and faith in God were seen by all those who came in contact with her.
