Survived by his daughters Lisa (Michael, Ethan and Natalie) and Kim (Presley, Kate and Emily), as well as family members Laurie Lauda (Mark, Meg, Kristen and Madison) and Michael Devine (Melissa, Haley and Derek). He was predeceased by his soulmate Margaret Simmons, whom he missed every day.
A long-time resident of Dover, MA, where he was a Selectman, Fred was committed to community, family and friends. These include his children, grandchildren, nieces and nephew of whom he was so proud, neighbors at Washington Court, the extended Devine/Hayes family who welcomed him and became such an important part of his life, and treasured, life-long friends from Norwich University.
Fred’s company, Griffin Paper, and his colleagues at Pagell Corporation, kept him happily going to the office until the time of his death.
Full of energy, always ready for a good conversation, and quick with a laugh and a kindness, Fred will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Belknap, Norwich University or The Trustees of Reservations.
