Ronald, (nicknamed Mickey), a lifelong Chicagoan, married the love of his life, Arla (nee Tanski) on July 15, 1951 and during their 69 years of marriage, together they proudly raised 4 daughters, Kathleen (Paul) Pepin, Cynthia (Greg) King, Deadre Lorber and Pamela Murphy. He was a loving grandfather to their 6 grandchildren, Carey (Amy) Primeau, Rafe Pepin, Evan King, Dana Primeau (Adrian Henry), Colin Murphy and Morgan King, as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Chloe and Miles. He is preceded in death by his brother Joseph (Muriel) Lorber.
Ronald was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. After serving his country, he worked as a Tuckpointer and became a Life Member of BAC Local 52-IL, working years to preserve many of Chicago’s greatest landmarks.
Ronald enjoyed painting, bowling, bicycling, all types of puzzles and anything he was able to create and repair with his hands. He was an avid Chicago sports enthusiast, and a huge fan of the Chicago White Sox. He had a passion for art, music, and harmony that has been passed on to his talented family.
