Born in Sacramento, CA., Marianne attended Sutterville and John Bidwell elementary schools, Joaquin Miller, and C.M. Goeth Junior High Schools and she was a member of the Burbank Senior High School class of 1965.
Marianne attended Sacramento City College and pursued a degree in physical education.
Through high school and college Marianne was a staple of downtown & Land Park competitive and traveling softball teams. She was also on her church softball and Volleyball teams as well as a recreational bowling league. Marianne was the first female letter carrier for the U.S. post office in Sacramento. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church and later founding member of Grace Evangelical Free Church. She was known for her cake decorating work as well as her small craft ceramic business, C&C Ceramics; where she made many friends in a local crafting community. She could always be seen coaching her kids youth sports teams when she wasn’t a champion spectator for them. Marianne was very proud that her birthday was on Independence Day. In her final years she moved to Washington to be closer to family and passed on October 24, 2020 in Vancouver, Washington with her children at her side.
