Bob was born in Glendale on July 11, 1950 to Inocente and Rosalia Hernandez, he was 1 of 8 children. He grew up in Glendale and at the age of 18 enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served our country for a term of 3 years. While in the Army, he served in Vietnam from November 1970 to November 1971 and received 3 service medals. He worked at Sletten Construction for many years before retiring in 2018. Bob was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Catholic Church. He had a passion for family, boating, fishing, building and remodeling. Bob had an infectious laugh that would turn any frown upside down, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Bob is survived by wife Lula Hernandez, children Robert, Jennifer, Stephanie (Philip), Benny (Angie), Stepson’s Rae, Abriel and David. Grandchildren, Desiree, Cynthia, Christopher, Sabrina, Robert, Philip Jr., Joseph, Jagar, Anthony, Evangelina, Step grandchildren, Armani, Angie, Aubrie, Abriel Jr., and Isaac; Great grandchildren Celena, Norma-Ann, Aiden, Caleb, Ezekiel, Josieh. Brothers and Sisters Atanacio “Tano” (Lydia), Alejandro “Alex” (Delores), Inocente “Tito”, Altagracia “Grace” (Felipe), Alicia (Juan) and Maria.
Bob is preceded in death, by father Inocente, mother Rosalia, brother Juventino.
