Mrs. Sullivan had a heart for caring for others especially children. The children she cared for over the years lovingly referred to her as Mama Ruth. She ran a daycare center out of her home before going to work for Vienna Village as a CNA for 14 years. She left Vienna Village to stay home with her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting. Placing extra love in every stitch of every afghan she created for each grandchild and great grandchild.
Mrs. Sullivan was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Sullivan; parents, Hobert Garret Shoun and Stella Speers Shoun; and 7 siblings. She leaves behind her children, Rebecca “Becky” Pope, Chris (Vickie) Sullivan, Steve (Annette) Sullivan, and Robert (Sara) Sullivan; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; presumed son, Brent Bumgardner; siblings, Norna Watson, Pansey Morrison, and Doyle (Sylvia) Shoun; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 9th at 3pm at Westlawn Gardens of Memory with Pastor Brandon Wolfe officiating.
