Born in Fall River, a daughter of Normand “Butch” and Linda (LaFlamme) Serejczyk she was a longtime resident of Swansea.
A graduate of Diman Regional Technical Vocational High School, Class of 1988, she attended Johnson & Wales University in Charleston, SC. She worked in technical support for Verizon for 10 years. Actively involved in the Swansea school system, she facilitated “Teacher Appreciation Day”, was a dedicated and successful fundraiser for school activities and a P.T.O. President at the Mark Hoyle Elementary School, Luther School and Joseph Case Junior High School. Passionate about the Boy Scouts, she also enjoyed doing arts and crafts, traveling with Steve, especially to the Caribbean and dining on a fresh lobster meal. Cherie was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by three children, Mathieu, Jillian and Kaylyn Beaupre and two sisters, Cindy Carreiro and her husband Paul and Christine Serejczyk and her partner Duarte Melo and several nieces and nephews.
Her visitation will be on Sunday, November 15, 2020 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private. Contributions in her honor may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 209 W. Central Street, Suite 220, Natick, MA 01760.
