Austin Theodore Pate, 79, of Bloomington passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Austin was born May 30, 1941 in Bloomington and was the son of the late Will E. and Edith (Elliott) Pate.
Austin was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of American Legion Burton Woolery Post 18 and Bloomington AmVets Post 2000 and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1081.
Austin was loved and will be missed by his daughters, Rea Glover and her husband Bruce and Christina Giglotti and her husband John; brother, Dr. Donald Wayne Pate; fiancé, Lea Lemon; 5 grandchildren, Amber, Charles, Trey, Austin and Haven and great grandchildren, Jayden, Jazlyn, CJ, Rosalie and Stella, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Austin was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Pandora (Wright) Pate who died in 2014, and siblings; Francis Pate, Virginia Pate, Jim Pate, Lois Byrd, Phillip Pate, Ronald Pate, and Connie Richards.
Austin will be buried next to his wife in the Houston National Cemetery.
