Dorothy Mae (King) Smith, age 93, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 in Arlington. Dorothy was born October 8, 1927 in Caro, Texas to Ira King and Myrtle Seelbach.
Dorothy graduated from Mt. Enterprise High School. Dorothy married Charlie Ray Sanders and they later divorced. She married Roger Lynn Smith and worked for ARA Manufacturing, where she was a sheet metal operator. After retirement she worked for JoAnn: Fabrics and Store Demos. She also created at home alterations for friends and family and had a passion for cooking and sewing.
Dorothy is preceded in death by son James Ray Sanders; first husband Charlie Sanders, brothers: Steve King and Ross King.
She is survived by daughter Dina Gibson and her husband, Douglas; grandchildren: Brian Stewart and his wife, Wendy, Brandy Sanders, Cody Sanders, Daniel Gibson; great-grandchildren: Hanna Sanders, Madisyn Sanders, Lainee Sanders, Caysen Sanders, Claire Stewart, Drew Stewart; sisters: Jane Steele, Pat Evans and numerous nieces and nephews.
