He retired as a brick mason. He loved to hunt, fish, and play his guitar. He had a passion for country music. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was a generous and kind soul who would give anyone the shirt off his back.
He is preceded in death by his mother Janevee Vera Bennett, Father Mathew Brooks Collins, Wife Barbara Jo Pownall Collins, His two daughters Crystal Lynn Collins and Dawn Marie Collins, His sisters Lorain Nunley, Peggy Nunley, and Linda, and Grandson Dalton Hamilton.
He survived by his four brothers Charles, Larry, Elmer, and Dale Collins all of Akron Ohio, Two sisters Carolyn Bailes and Patty Nunley, Daughters and step-children Cassie Lynn Collins, Patsy Lynn Barnett, and husband (Ralph Junior Barnett) Kelly Ann Langrel and husband (David Langrel), David Ray Pownall, And eight grandkids, Kelsey Smith ad husband (Dustin Smith) and daughter (Anndi Smith), Damon Mcfarland, Natosha Collins, Katelin Collins, Dakota Hamilton, Lacie and Brailyn, Addie Greer. And several other family and friends.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020, from 1-2 PM, with a funeral service at 2:00 PM all at East Lawn Memorial Park. A Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4997 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, Tennessee 37664. Officiating will be Rev. Brian Moore
