Robert Bouressa was born on a farm in Minnesota during the great depression. He left home to join the army during WWII, he was captured in France, and became a prisoner of war in a German camp. When the war was over, he was darned with a purple heart, and honored as a POW. He married LaVonne Nelson and they had three children, Kenneth Knutson, Cheryl Bouressa, and Sandra Bouressa. Robert was involved with the VFW, and POW events. He also marched in many military parades, and was honored in Washington D.C. as a POW. Robert is survived by his wife of 75 years LaVonne Bouressa, his children Ken, Cheryl, and Sandra, and his grandchildren Eddie Hutler, Shayne Hutler, Nathan Meyers, Emily Bouressa, Eric Knutson, Julana Hutler, and Karson Hutler who folloed his grandfather's footsteps and joined the Army, grandson Jesse Meyers passed in 2008. Robert was buried at the veterans cemetery in Dixon, CA. He will be dearly missed. R.I.P.
