Dennis spent his early childhood getting into mischief in the neighborhoods of “Southside Estates”, along with his close buddies, which started the lifetime of memories and some of the best stories to pass down to his friends and family. From surfing in hurricanes, proudly serving in Vietnam, riding his Honda Gold Wing through the mountains “out West”, to jumping off rope swings into the Santa Fe River and spending a week alone kayaking down the Allagash River in the back woods of northern Maine - Dennis was fearless. Family meant the world to him, and he could always be counted on to help a friend in need. He loved spending his summers in Maine with his daughter and her family, and there was hardly a week that went by without him fishing in his boat or kayak. Dennis finally found his “happily ever after,” when he reconnected with his long-ago sweetheart, and loved her two daughters like they were his own. He lived his final years with them on a beautiful piece of land in Hilliard, Florida. Dennis was loved by anybody that ever had the chance to meet him, and he will missed greatly, by so many.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents: Terry and Lillian Durant; brother, Allen Durant; sister, Virginia Williams; grand-son, Dayton Lapierre; and nephew, Mark Williams.
