Jean Stanonis, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 16, 2020, at the Sturgill Hospice House in Spring Hill, FL. She retired from Spring Hill Lock & Key, where she worked for 20 years, and is survived by her husband of 52 years, Tony, her daughters Susan and Christine, and grandsons, Edward, Cameron, and Sammy, whom she absolutely adored.
During her adult life, Jean participated in many activities, including ceramics, bowling, scrapbooking, and going to the Hard Rock Casino, to mention a few. Jean found joy in bossing Tony around while doing projects in the home they physically built together and lived in for 35 years. Opinionated and passionate in her conversations and particularly thrilled with the outcome of the recent presidential election, Jean was a gracious host for many holiday gatherings, always providing an overabundance of food, and loved keeping the family traditions alive. But most of all, Jean enjoyed being a mother to her two daughters Christine and Susan, and a grandmother to “her three boys” as she called them, Cameron, Edward and Sammy. Watching the boys grow up from babies into adults gave her great pleasure. She participated actively in their lives and wanted only the best for each of them. Jean will truly be missed by all who knew her.
