Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Lawrence Ferry and Lucy Keller. Upon graduating high school, Noel married the love of her life, the late Donald Wolbing, in 1975 and shared 44 years of marriage together. Noel is survived by two children: son, Michael and Ryan (McGhee) Wolbing, grandchildren, Sabrina and Hailey Wolbing; and daughter, Erica (Wolbing) and Chris Sutter and grandchildren, Liam, Max and Annabelle Sutter. Noel was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wolbing, and her brother, John Ferry, both in 2019.
Noel was a homemaker, business owner, and medical consultant throughout her professional career. More importantly, Noel was known for her devotion to family and friends. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2012, given a timeline of less than two years. For eight years, she fought. She endured weekly and later, monthly treatments, had a double mastectomy and endured a hip replacement surgery. 2020 and Covid-19 came along and encapsulated Noel to her home alone due to her high risk. But through all of the isolation, she never lost her passion for prayer, her constant dedication to mobile and video contact with her children and grandchildren, and friendly hello waves from her front door.
On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, Noel won the battle against breast cancer. She won because you don’t fight that long and hard and lose. Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Noel on Tuesday, November 24th at Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay, Florida, located at 7359 Babcock Street, SE from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. The funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 6:00pm at Fountainhead Funeral Home.
