Ruth was born on June 11, 1925 to the late M.P. ad Susie(Shepherd) James and raised on a farm outside of Lubbock. She enjoyed all the mischief and fun that siblings can have growing up on a farm. She made Abilene her home around 1970.
She married Leo Neitzler on December 19, 1981 in Lubbock. Ruth loved reading her Bible and enjoyed sweet communion with Lord. The wisdom and inspiration she received from Gods word would be placed into letters that she mailed to her family members. She often attended different local Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She enjoyed getting together with her siblings and reminiscing on life growing up, laughter was always apart of those stories. Ruth will be remembered for her strong will, faith, and being a sweet and precious lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo; brothers, Howard, Paul, Joe, Mose, Marvin, and Andrew James; sisters, Vera McFerrin, Annie Mae Waldrop, and Edna Dooley.
She is survived by her sister Sue Bales of Gatesville, TX; her sister in-law, Betty James of Lubbock, TX; a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
