Marion Clevesy, 97, of Barefoot Bay, Florida passed away on November 17, 2020 at the Indian River Center in Melbourne, Florida. Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on September 15, 1923, she worked in the accounting department of the Bolta Plant (General Tire) in Lawrence, Massachusetts until her retirement. She came to the Barefoot Bay area from North Andover, Massachusetts in 1979. She was an active member and supporter of the Roseland United Methodist Church. She was also an avid reader and loved to knit and crochet.
She is survived by her niece, Pam Sullivan of Massachusetts; step-children Jerilyn Fortin of New Hampshire; Dean Clevesy of New Hampshire; and Jenney Lou Franko of Minnesota; three grandchildren, one great-granddaughter; a great-niece and a great-great niece and nephew. She is also survived by her dear friend of over 35 years, Gloria Tocci, of Barefoot Bay. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Niles Clevesy (they were married 39 years at the time of his passing in 2014).
The family would also like to thank and acknowledge the nurses and staff of the Indian River Center and VITAS Hospice who worked collectively in taking such good care of Marion for over three years. We are greatly appreciative.
