She is the youngest of her five siblings Ofemnia, Carmen, Chavela and Juan.
She fell in love at a young age to Natividad Corrales in the early 1940's with a lasting marriage of 66 years. Together they lovingly raised eight children, Frances, Mary- Helen, Jenny, Gloria, Nancy, Raymond, Lupe & Susie. As time continued her beautiful family began to grow. Their children started their own families. Virginia and Nato became grandparents to 34 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren, and 37 great great grandchildren. Totalling a beautiful amount of 149 grandchildren.
In their early years, Virginia and Nato traveled to and from California for work to provide for their children, then settling down in Phoenix, AZ.
Virginia, well known as, "Nana Lupe'' was compassionate, generous and lit up any room with her beautiful soul. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren leaving them all with a legacy of lessons. Lessons full of faith in the Lord, lessons of life, and lessons of, "some good cooking" and that's just to name a few.
Virginia was a Godly woman who woke up everyday at 5 AM to read her Bible. Everyone around her had a great amount of love for her, she was a hard working woman who made due of what she had and made sure everyone around her was taken care of. Although we will deeply miss her, we're all thankful and blessed to continue the teachings and legacy she left for generations to come.
