Sandra passed unexpectedly at her home in Snelling. Sandra was born in Modesto to Wells and Mazie Carlon Woolstenhulme, residents of Hopeton.
She attended and graduated from Hopeton Elementary School in 1967, and Merced High School in 1971, she was a member of the Marching 100 in high school, and she also attended Merced Junior College.
Sandra was a cattle rancher, worked for the City of Merced, she was also a Consultant for Beauty Control Cosmetics and for many years a Consultant for Silpada Jewelry. She was a member of the Snelling Merced Falls School Board for 8 years.
Growing up she loved barrel racing, team penning with Kerry O’donnell, snow skiing. In recent years she spent many hours riding her Wave Runner with her best friend Isabel Reese. The family would also like to thank Jeremy Boland for his loyalty and friendship to Sandra and Bob. She was an avid Raiders Fan and rarely missed a George Strait concert regardless of the venue.
Sandra was a generous, caring person who deeply loved God, her family, friends, and her dogs. She had traveled to Australia and New Zealand, and in recent years went several times to different locations in Europe with friends.
She grew up attending St. John’s Catholic Church in Hopeton, in recent years she was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Merced.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Gary Crauthers, mother-in-law Lucile Scholl and brother-in-law Ron Brown.
Sandra is survived by her husband Robert (Bob) Scholl of Snelling, stepsons Michael Scholl of San Francisco, Marc Scholl of Merced, step grandson Jovi Scholl of Merced, brother Tim and Bette Ann Erickson, La Junta, CO, sisters Paula Erickson Crauthers, Soulsbyville, CA, Dana and Roy Richards, Merced, CA, sister-in-law Susie Brown. Nephews Marvin and Cecilia Crauthers, Groveland, Dan and Andra Erickson, Roy and Breanne Richards all of Snelling, nieces Renee Crauthers, Soulsbyville, Sherry Richards, Snelling, Elisabeth Erickson Noe and Kirk Noe, La Junta, CO and Dallyce and Matt Partymiller, Lexington, KY, 14 great nephews and nieces, many cousins in CA and UT, and her beloved dogs, KC and Abbygayle. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Graveside service Thursday, December 17th at 11:00 at Snelling Cemetery. Wear your Raiders attire. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Sandra’s memory to St. Patrick’s Church, 671 E. Yosemite Ave., Merced, CA 95340, SPCA. PO Box 929 Merced, CA 95341 or your favorite charity.
