Alida C Plata

Mrs. Plata was born on August 6, 1931 in Rio Hondo, Texas to Merced Sanchez Cerda and Vence Cerda.

Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Jose N. Plata, son, Joe Plata Jr., Parents, Merced Sanchez Torres and Vence Cerda and her siblings, Bruno Torres Jr., Eduardo Torres Sr. and Delfina Castro.

Survived by her daughters Jesusita Guel, Criselda P. Hernandez, Sandra Plata, Alida Plata Moore and husband (Tom); sons, Ubence Guel, David Plata, Hector Plata and wife (Alicia). Alida loved spending time with her fifteen grandchildren: thirty great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Alida Plata married the love of her life, Jose N. Plata in 1954. They loved spending time with their children and grandchildren throughout the years. Alida was an exceptional wife and mother. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time outside in the garden.

Alida was a lifelong active member at Primera Asamblea De Dios.

Pallbearers are Tony Gomez Jr., Joseph Arriola, Jason Arriola, David Plata, Alfred Navejar, Alfredo Navejar Jr. and Michael Constante.
