James O. Glava, age 80, of Scottsdale, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was born on June 3, 1940 to the late Frederick John and Tina (Lysack) Glava in International Falls, MN. Jim attended International Falls High School graduating class of 1959. He was a proud member of the United States Army in the Vietnam Era. During his military service, he continued his education becoming an Electrical Engineer and eventually teaching the methods he knew. Jim was a very patient and kind teacher. On February 21, 1966, he married Dean Edwina Apodaca in Las Vegas, NV. He enjoyed playing cribbage, pinochle, and chess; and obtaining his pilot’s license and flying his Grumman airplane. Jim is survived by his loving spouse of over 54 years, Dean; their son, Richard James Glava; a sister, Debbie Ciminski; his granddaughter, Khloe; his spiritual son, David Rudd; and many other loving family and friends including his Intimacy with Jesus Church and Immanuel Congregation Church families. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Larry Glava and Karen Glava Morrison. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's name may be made to the Intimacy of Jesus Church, 5902 E.
