Tommy, to those who knew him best, was loved by everyone he met. Always athletic, he loved to play sports, but most of all, he loved snow skiing and teaching others how to ski. He continued to ski into his 70’s. He was a Respiratory Therapist for 49 years. Soon after graduating from Inhalation Therapy school in Winston Salem in 1969, he was asked to help establish the first Inhalation Therapy Dept. at High Point Memorial Hospital. He headed that department until leaving in the early 1980’s to open High Point Medical Supply. After selling his business in the mid 90’s, he continued his Respiratory Therapy career until retiring in 2018. Tommy will be remembered most for his love for his girls (Amy and Sara), his generosity, contagious smile and silly sense of humor.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jane Russell Roddy; second wife, Jackie Duehning Roddy; Sisters, Jerry Roddy Blake and Bonnie Roddy Daniel; Brothers Buddy, Mike and Leslie.
