She was born in Oklahoma on July 7th, 1930 to Lilian McKnight and Ernest Walcher in Oklahoma. When Thelma was young she moved to Red Dirt, CO (now known as Silt) with her mother and siblings. In 1948 she graduated from Garfield County High School. She married Herman Peter Schultz Jr and they had two sons, Bob and Roy. She was employed for many years as a Postal Service Worker
She is survived by her 4 grandchildren, Missy, Greg, Bobbi and Kayla, and her 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Daphne, Zeda, Xander, Blake, Ellie, Aria, Lane, Everly, Tegan, Taeva.
Thelma was strong, witty and never afraid to speak her mind. We will all miss her sarcastic remarks.
