Wade was born April 28, 1930 in Sikeston, MO to Malcolm and Mildred (Heathcote) Tidwell. He married Mildred Crone on March 12, 1949; she preceded him in death on November 8, 2015.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Buck Tidwell, Melvin Tidwell, Cletus Tidwell, Toy (Ad) Reynolds; son-in-law, Steve Frazier and sister-in-law, Rhoda Tidwell.
Wade is survived by his beloved children, Shelia Frazier of St. Peters, MO, Jerry (Melba) Tidwell of Fairview Heights, IL, Valerie (Dave) Baxmeyer of Waterloo, IL, and Cindy (Steve Lingelbach) Geller of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Tabitha (Mario) Cerna of Lake St. Louis, MO, Tara (Dave) Dickson of St. Charles, MO, Andrew (Kirsten) Tidwell of St. Louis, MO, Jordan (Kyle) Leifield of St. Louis, MO, Rachel Geller of St. Louis, MO, Erynn Baxmeyer of Waterloo, IL, Kirsten (Noah) Comstock of Anchorage, AK, Skylar Baxmeyer of Waterloo, IL and Paige Baxmeyer of Waterloo, IL; great-grandchildren, Joaquin Cerna, Julian Cerna, Sophie Dickson, Declan Dickson, Addisyn Comstock and Conner Tidwell; siblings, Carolyn (Don) Pobst of Sikeston, MO and Wilson Tidwell of Sikeston, MO.
Wade proudly served in the United States Air Force, during the Korean War. Wade was a “jack-of-all-trades” and would often spend his time tinkering with cars and building homes. He loved to fish and garden alongside his wife, Mildred. Above all else, Wade loved and cherished his time spent with this children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Wade will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 9:00 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at Hope Christian Church in Columbia, IL.
A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11 A.M. at the church. Interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Height, IL.
