Redjep Abdul

Redjep Abdul, age 85, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Redjep was born July 30, 1935 in Chicago. He grew up on the South side of Chicago. He loved to play football and played during his high school years while attending Lindblom High School on the South side.

He served in the United States Army from 1954-1957. While serving in Asia, he did enjoy playing goalie for the Army Hockey Team.

Redjep worked as a Labor Foreman in the Commercial Construction Industry in Chicago. He enjoyed travelling the country after retiring to Henderson, Nevada. He visited almost every state. He was especially fond of his dogs, as Sampson traveled too.

Redjep is survived by two daughters, Deborah Erbach (husband Vince Iglesias) and Dawn Schlagel (daughter Amanda) as well as many grand pups from each.

Redjep is preceded in death by his wife Patricia who further added to his family with her surviving children, Donald Dietz (wife Dana and daughter Ashley), Karen Damby and Denise Morgan.

He is preceded in death by his parents Mustafa and Agnes Abdul, his brothers, John Gray, Mark Gray and Mustafa Abdul with whom he loved to go boating.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated by him to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and the ASPCA.

A visitation for Redjep will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. A celebration of life will follow at 12:00 PM.
