Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Harry N. and Katherine (Kattou) Koursaros.
She was a 1953 graduate of Reading High School and A 1957 graduate of Albright College where she received a B.S. degree in Home Economics. She attended Kutztown University where she attained further education and credits.
She was a 4th and 6th grade school teacher having taught in Reading schools from 1957 – 1958 and later at Tulpehocken School District for a total of 29 years prior to retiring in 1988
She was a member of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church where she served on the Philotochos Society. She was also a member of the Berks County Senior Citizens and the Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by her sister in law Carole A. (Achenbach) Koursaros of Reading. Also surviving are 2 nephews, Hari D. Koursaros of Philadelphia and John D. Koursaros of Cockeysville, Maryland. Also surviving is a niece, Victoria A. Koursaros of Phildelphia. She was predeceased by her brother, Deomidis H. Koursaros on May 3, 2007.
Services were held privately in Theo. C. Auman, Inc. Funeral Home, 247 Penn Street, Reading, Pa. 19601 with Father Theodore Petrides offering prayers. Interment was in Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Sts. Constantine & Helen GOC, 1001 Wyomissing Blvd., Reading, Pa. 19611
