A friend to everyone, even as a collection agent with Liberal Finance for more than 20 years, Irma knew no stranger. She enjoyed the game of football and keeping up with the score of many games. Throughout her life, Irma shared a close relationship and friendship with her only daughter, Mary Alice, with whom she lived much of her life until the day she met the Lord. Affectionately known by many as “Momo,” Irma was treasured dearly by the grandchildren she lived with and loved, Alice Marie, Krystal Elaine, Amber Michelle, and Abel, Jr.
Irma was preceded in death by her mother with whom she shared many fond memories, Alicia Ramos Teniente. She also joins her sons, Daniel and David Perez, and great-granddaughter, Lilyana Grace Hinojosa.
During the winter of her life, Momo was cared for greatly and is survived by her daughter and son-in law, Mary Alice and Martin Rick Hinojosa. Irma is also survived by her sons, Jesus Perez (Terry) from California, Roland Perez (Marcie) from San Antonio, and Ruben Perez (Christina). Momo leaves a legacy of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who she loved and spoke of often throughout life.
A special thanks to a dear friend, Margo Romero who saw Irma through the last four years and members of the hospice staff who helped in caring for her, Patty and Regina.
Pallbearers will be Martin Rick Hinojosa, Abel Duron, Jr., Bobby Hinojosa, Roland Perez, Jesus Perez, and Ruben Perez.
