So sorry about Jim. I grew up with him at Chicopee and played football with at Gainesvile High. Although I was 3 years younger than Jim, he was always so nice to me. I’ll always remember him.

Jim was a wonderful man that I was married to for 55 years.  From the time we dated at the University of Georgia until his passing he was the love of my life.  We raised a son together and shared many hardships, challenges and triumphs.  

He was my constant companion and champion.  He had a heart of gold and a winning smile.  I will always love Jim forever.  I miss him very much.

I always looked forward to seeing Jim.  He was always positive and uplifting.  While he was in the service in Germany he sent me an expensive baseball glove as a gift.  I never forgot that.  ....He was quite an athlete at Gainesville HS,  as Captain of the football team in 1957.  He received a football scholarship to the University of GA....I sorely wished that we could have seen more of him in the later years.

Bill and I will remember always your sweet smile. You would light up when talking about your family, but listening too to the walsh clan news. You will be missed by us all. A special man and grandfather:  kindness, patience along with Jim's warm heart will be missed by his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.  

May his kind spirit always be remembered and the eternal journey of his next life be cradled in the light of Christ's Love......

Uncle Jim was only 8 years old when I was born.  I always loved and enjoyed his fun loving gentle spirit.  So many good memories of Chicopee Village and the farm, riding Jim's horse.  He saved all his 'Blue Horse' coupons for me so I could get a gym bag!  Sure wish I could have had one more visit with him before he had to go.  I know he is having a wonderful celebration in Heaven, reuniting with Nanny and Pop, with my parents and the many friends he had during his life.

The kindest smile that always warmed my heart even in the hardest of times,
 a gentle soul that will be missed so dearly.  Someone who put everyone before himself. I love you forever grandad.

A good memory of my Dad that comes to mind was when I was about 10 or 11 years old.  I had asked my parents to let me stop competing on a swim team in order to play other sports instead.  When I joined a baseball team, my  Dad would take me to Holiday Park on the weekends and pitch the baseball to me.  Batting was my weakest point in the sport, but his help made me much better.

My position was as an outfielder and he also hit the ball out to me from home plate for "pop" fly's that strengthened my fielding.  My Dad was an excellent athlete and his guidance gave me a lot of courage in facing and overcoming difficulties whether in sports or in life!
