Colleen Marie Francis

It is with broken hearts that we announce the death of Colleen Marie Francis, age 49, of Eskasoni. Colleen passed away peacefully on January 6, 2021 at Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.

Colleen was a daughter of Andrew & Pauline (Denny) Francis of Eskasoni.

Colleen loved entertaining, dancing and hosting parties. She also enjoyed camping and playing pool. She was a collector of random stuff, especially clothes. Colleen was always open to new adventures. She loved her family, children and was especially fond of her nieces and nephews.

Colleen is survived by her parents, her sons; Randon (Heidi) Francis & Trenton Tontarelli; granddaughter, Leondra Isadore; siblings, Sheldon (Jane) Francis, Heather Marshall (Gub), Myrna Francis (Larry), Corrine Francis (Harvey), Lydia Gould (Chuck), Andrea Francis (Keegan) and Andrew ‘Joll’ Francis (Erin); godmother, Sylvia Denny; godchildren, Gub Jij Marshall, and Kolby ‘Mooney’ and many extended family.

Colleen was predeceased by her husband, Roy Tontarelli and godfather, Eugene Denny.

Due to current COVID restrictions there is no community visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, at Holy Family Church, Fr. Antolin Asor will officiate. Burial in the parish cemetery.
