Born November 18, 1941 in Marion to Clarence and Maude (Davis) Thomas, she married William Jackson, Sr. on June 27, 1962 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are three children, William Jackson, Jr. of Morton, Carrie Lee Jackson of Pekin and Victoria Kathleen Dreifuerst of Peoria; three grandchildren, Jessica Murphy of Pekin, Chris Murphy of Manito and Jacob Dreifuerst of Bartonville; five great-grandchildren, Braden Cease, Sammy and Nolan Murphy, Jackson and Alexander Dreifuerst and two siblings, Pam Harmon of Nevada and Patricia (Jack) Brisbin, both of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister, Carol Jean.
A homemaker, Judith had also worked as the head secretary at Western Southern Life Insurance Co. in Peoria for several years.
Judith was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who put her family first. She will be greatly missed by all those how knew her.
She attended Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria since attending high school. She served, as the secretary for the Special Needs Dept. Judith was very instrumental in every aspect while involved with the department. She loved teaching and helping people to understand about Jesus. Judith was an example of what she taught and believed.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory, 500 North 4th Street in Pekin. Pastor Lyle Sutton and Steve Brisbin will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home, where guidelines regarding social distancing and wearing of masks will be followed. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield.
