Lois “Kay” (Nigh) George, age 85, of Lancaster, went to be with her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 7, 2021. Kay shared 67 years of marriage with the love of her life, Robert “Bob” George. Kay never knew a stranger and the first thing you would learn about her was her strong relationship with Jesus. She would rub your arm and ask you how you were, and wanted to know the honest answer. She loved shopping at thrift and antique stores for pretty, little treasures. Kay could put together an outfit like no other, and always had the best shoes. She enjoyed meeting her brother for breakfast, and lunch with her friends. She loved dreaming up projects for her husband to build for their beautifully decorated home. Most of all, it was important to her to leave a legacy of a family that loved the Lord, and alongside her husband, she did just that. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Mary, and her siblings: Robert, Mary Lou, and James. Kay’s affectionate, spunky personality will be dearly missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her doting husband, Robert “Bob” George, her children: Robert (Betty) George, Cynthia (Jerry) Entrekin, Stephen (Stacey) George, 10 grandchildren: Corrin, Leah, Roanna, Nathan, Katie, Amanda, Ethan, Seth, Jesse, and Caleb, and 22 great-grandchildren: Laney, Gabriel, Eli, Philip, Trey, Lillian, Kyler, Lance, Bryson, Noah, Eli, Brooklynn, Jayla, Maxx, Rylee, Jackson, Cadence, Layla, Jack, Michael, Josie, and Jemma. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday January 11, 2021at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathan Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Amanda Twp. Cemetery, Amanda. Friends may call 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday at funeral home. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Country Lane Gardens.
