Due to the current health crisis, services will be private. Mary will be laid to rest with her late husband at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Mary married Maurice Gosdin in 1946 and had two children, Sylvia and Charles. In the 1950's Mary and Maurice moved from Big Sandy to the Mid-Cities. Mary owned and operated a beauty salon for several years next to the post office and elementary school on Smithfield Rd.
In the 60's they moved to Colleyville, where she and Maurice owned and operated Nor-East Brick and Sales. They worked and traveled for years before retiring and returning to East Texas, where Maurice spent his time fishing, hunting and gardening. Mary's time was spent in her little boutique on the square in Gilmer.
Special thanks to all the Staff at Emerald Hills Nursing and Rehab for the loving care they provided in her final years and Heart to Heart Hospice staff for their love and support in her final months.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Maurice; her son, Charles, and great-granddaughter, Lauren; sisters, Dorothy, Lena and brother, LD.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Sylvia; 4 grandchildren, Karla, DWayne, Dawnyelle, and Brandon; 11 great-grandchildren, Robert, Lauren, Jake, Wyatt, Hannah, Lukas, Carson, Michael, Nate, Carrisa, and Dalton, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Chloe. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty and Judy, brother Roy, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
