James was born in Parsons, Kansas, a graduate of Labette Community College and a veteran of the USAF.
“Jim” or “Jimmy” was a long-time standing citizen and friend to many in the Parsons and Wichita areas. He was a photographer, real estate broker, operations manager, and in his part time retirement, he was a storm adjuster. Jim enjoyed his friends, family, playing golf, and especially making people laugh.
James is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Mary Harlow, his parents, Paul and Helen Harlow, and his youngest sister, Jeanine Harlow. Jim is survived by his daughter, Coralie Harlow Birdwell, (Brian) of Austin, Texas, his grandson, Will Harlow Kimbell of Austin, Texas, his sisters Grace Klein of Rochester, New York, Roberta Whetzel of Wichita, Kansas, Coralie Robertson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri., and numerous nieces and nephews. Celebration of life services will be held at a later date.
