Henry Edmond Hennep was born on August 5th 1933 to parents Jacqueline and Hendrick Hennep in Paramaribo, Suriname. Henry has two sisters Marina Amzand and Gertrude Pena. Henry traveled to the United States when Henry was 21yrs old, where he settled in Brooklyn NY with his Oom Cor. Henry’s Mother and sisters soon followed. Henry worked in catering and was also a courier for the Dutch Consulate. Henry later worked for the Suriname Government under the title of Chancellor. Henry met his 1st wife Constance Jeffrey at a dance in Harlem NY. They began to date, Henry revealed a 10yr plan to Constance for them to get engaged and married. Constance’s response was simply sure if we are together in 10yrs. Henry quickly revised that plan and they were married a year later. Henry and Constance had three children Henry, Doreen, and Darin. A daughter in law Delfina, 4 grandchildren Henry, William, Jasmine and Darin. He has many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grandnephews cousins and an extended family of sons and daughters whom he welcomed into his heart. Henry was a provider, he would take care of everyone who he came in contact with. Henry would welcome you into his home and heart and let you know he would be there for you always. In 2004 Henry was widowed, we lost our Mother Constance Hennep to her fight with cancer. Later Henry found love again in his child hood sweetheart Lucretia Mariam Dilmahomed from Suriname. Henry and Lucretia were married and moved back to Suriname. In 2014 Henry became widowed. Lucretia had passed on. Surrounded by love henry lived to the long age of 87. On January 7th 2021 he was called home to be by the Lord’s side. In his last moments Henry wanted everyone to know how proud he was of everyone and prays that everyone gets to live a long enjoyable life as he did. He wants all to rest easy in knowing that he loves us all. Rest in Paradise Dad for you are now one of the Angels watching over us.
