Barbara was born in Fort Worth, Texas on Jan 3, 1924 to parents Louis George and Marie Bundock, who immigrated from England after World War I. While a student at Texas Christian University, Barbara was a cheerleader, elected homecoming queen, and met her husband, Earnest Clifton Caffey, a veteran of World War II.
Barbara and Clif resided in several cities in Texas where they had three children Kyle Clifton, Joan Elizabeth, and Janet Kay. After settling in Midland, Barbara became a dedicated member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. At the age of 93, she moved to Dallas to be closer to family.
Barbara will be remembered for her spirited personality and as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Jan Worthington (Kevin); grandchildren: Emily Gossett, Audrey Miles (Jason), and Ashley Worthington; and great-grandchildren: Jake Gossett, Adeline Miles, and Avery Miles. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her children, Joan and Kyle, and her husband, Clif. She will be interred in Midland, Texas with her husband Clif. No funeral service will occur at this time. A private graveside ceremony is expected to be held later in 2021.
