Martha Jean "MamMaw" (Bruce) Addison, age 88, of Shreveport, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Martha was born February 19, 1932 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Millie Long Bruce and James Walter Bruce.
MamMaw was a homemaker. That title including babysitting grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was their role model and they all love their MamMaw beyond measure.
MamMaw was a devoted Christian and faithful life long member of Calvary Baptist Church. She read her Bible and prayed daily she lived her Christian life by example. Martha was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her family enjoyed their MamMaw time. She loved working in her yard, visiting with friends, and watching her LSU Tigers, Saints and Astros.
Her Memory will be cherished by her loving family; her daughter Pamela Addison LeBlanc and husband Anthony "Tony"; and son Gary Addison; grandsons Brian Addison and wife Kim, Jason Addison and wife Cherie, and Britt LeBlanc; great grandchildren Zachary Cole, Grace Ann Addison, Hunter Addison, Logan Addison, Adisyn Devillier, and Pierce LeBlanc; great great grandson Kooper Cole. Also, her sister-in-law Charlotte Bruce. Along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years M.V. Addison, Jr.; her parents; brothers James Walter Bruce, Jr. and William "Bill" Bruce; twin brothers Ralph and Richard Bruce, and her twin sister Marion Rose Bruce Kierbow.
A visitation for Martha will be held Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 1:00pm in the Chapel at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home, 8801 Mansfield Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Her funeral service will begin at 2:00PM with Bro. Price Harris Officiating. Following services, burial will take place in Centuries Memorial Park.
Honoring MamMaw as pallbearers are her grandsons Brian Addison, Jason Addison, and Britt LeBlanc; great grandson Hunter Addison and nephews Mark Prunty and Mark Sandefur.
