He was born in Fruitport, MI January 21, 1926 the son of Julius and Mary Stuhan. He served in the United States Coast Guard during WW II. He married Anna (Howard) Logan and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Irene Vincent, Maggie Erb and Mary Christian, and his brothers: Eugene, Bill and John Stuhan.
Don retired from Gerber Foods after many years of service.
Surviving are his children: Brian (wife Jennifer), Julius, and Dwaine (wife Deb) Stuhan, his daughter, Sandra Burkall, his brothers: Robert and Frank Stuhan, as well as his step children: Jenny (fiancé Jerry Clemons) Elam, Russ (Melody) Howard, Anita German and Joel (Kathy) Howard. There are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 am, at Camp Butler National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail of Sangamon County.
