Raymond Allen Young, age 67 of Arlington, passed away on January 4, 2021. He was born on March 22, 1953, in Minneapolis, MN. His parents were James Frank Young and Shirley Lorraine Hurlburt Young, who instilled in him a hard work ethic and sense of responsibility. Ray married Avigail Cabriales and they celebrated eight loving years of marriage together, which was built on their shared foundation in Christ.
Ray Young had an outgoing personality with an infectious spirit. A great lover of people coupled with an incredible sense of humor meant he never met a stranger. Forever an optimist, he could easily find the good in others, especially his own loved ones. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
One of Ray's great loves was the state of Minnesota. In the summers he could be found up at the cabin, skiing on the lake, and surrounded by friends, fun, and laughter. In the winter he enjoyed snowmobiling and other outdoor adventures. Ray loved his MN Vikings and Twins and was a true NASCAR enthusiast.
Ray was a special agent with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. He retired after 25 years of service as a Deputy Chief and remained a devoted supporter of law enforcement throughout his life.
Ray is survived by the love of his life, wife, Avigail Young; well-loved children, daughter, Tricia Chenault and husband Colin; son, Anthony Young; 'Papa' leaves behind his legacy through his grandchildren, Grayson, Elise, Briana, Nathan, and Jenna Chenault; stepsons, Oscar and Isaac Carrasco; and sister, Gayle Young Rich.
