Raymond E Petrie

It’s with sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Petrie, Raymond was born July 21, 1940 in South Harbour to the late John and Hazel (Dunphy) Petrie. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother Lloyd , sisters Alexandra, Mary Susan and Catherine (in infancy) as well as by his first wife the late Evelyn and his two nephews Pat and Maurice.

He leaves behind his life long friend Diane, his daughter Raychelle (Phil) his two step Daughters Laura (Frank) and Leigh Jai (James) his stepson Leaman (Gerri) his grandchildren Cory, Dechlan, Adrian, Jacob, Jennacy, Keith and Pamela and his 4 great grandchildren... He is also survived by his 7 nieces and 4 nephews and his dear friends Blake and June.

Anyone who knows Ray knows his great love of music and his guitar was constantly in his hands or by his side. He spent most of his life singing and playing anywhere anytime.

A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated on Saturday February 20 at St Joseph’s church in Dingwall at 1 pm, officiated by Joanne Vassallo.
