Vince was born on June 16,1939 to the late John and Elena Elardo of Clifton, New Jersey. He graduated in 1957 from Clifton High School. He enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1957 and proudly served in Korea until his honorable discharge in 1960.
Vince and Dianne Elardo married in 1964 and were happily married for 57 years. He and Dianne lived in Parsippany, NJ until moving to Toms River in 1976 where they raised three children, Vincent, Thomas and Danielle.
Vince began his career in the electronics industry with Sharp Electronics. He then moved through several other companies before settling in at Canon in their copier division for the bulk of his career until retirement at age 70. After retirement, he moved to Bradenton, Florida for a relaxed lifestyle and warmer climate.
Vince will be remembered for his passion of cars, both classic and new. He had 52 of them in his lifetime. He loved to garden and keep a well-manicured yard. Most people will remember Vince for being outside and washing his car every weekend. He loved to socialize with his neighbors and friends. He was a mentor, a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and devoted husband to Dianne, the love of his life. He was the patriarch of the family and will forever be in our hearts.
He is survived by his spouse, Dianne; his children, Vincent (Andrea Elardo), Thomas (Mayumi Elardo), and Danielle Elardo; his grandchildren, Vincent (Christina Elardo), Justine (Robert Boggi), Victoria, Mikaela, Tara, Maren, Justin, Kaitlyn, Ryan, and Cameron; his great- grandchildren, Robbie, Charlotte, and Harper and great grandson due in May; his sister, Donna (Lou Falsetta); and his sister-in-law, Sharon (late Jack Elardo) and many nieces and nephews who will truly miss his funny sense of humor.
