

Marilyn was born the middle child to John and Mary Wales of Chicago, Illinois, on December 17, 1950.
She is survived by sisters, Pat Senerius and Kathleen (Richard) Schuster and brothers John Wales of Woodridge, Illinois and Richard (Sue) Wales; She is also survived by dear cousins, nieces, and nephews. Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Studer.
Despite being paralyzed by Polio as a child, Marilyn had a very successful professional and personal life.
Following a successful career as a professional assistant, she moved to Arizona and graduated with a Master’s Degree from Arizona State University in social work. She was a strong advocate for the handicapped and elderly, even serving on the State of Arizona’s Board for the Disabled and for the Governor Bruce Babbitt. Marilyn was named Handicapped Student of the Year at Phoenix College.
Following a successful career, she retired to spend time with her husband Donald and her little toy poodle, Twyla.
She was kind and generous to everyone she met, and her wicked sense of humor made everyone she met fall in love with her.
She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of meeting her.
