I was really happy my family met Mrs. Hammond. She was always helping, if it was either giving us our newspaper or inviting us to her house to lunch.She was always there for us , and we always tried to be there for her.

Betty was an angel sent from heaven. We were so blessed  to meet her when we moved across the street from her. Her devoted love and care for everyone around her was an example to our family. It would be impossible  to put into words how she affected our lives in the seven years we lived across from her. Her kindness and love to us will always be in our hearts, and inspire us to pass it on.

Mrs. Hammond worked in the office when I was a student at Washington. She was always very kind and anytime I saw her after I graduated she was so happy to see me and wanted to know about my life. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Mrs Hammond was at Washington School way back when I attended and it was still K-8th grade , she always knew just what to say no matter if a student was in trouble or sick .She was one of the people I remember fondly when I think about my school years.Prayers to your family.

As a very young woman "Miss Betty" was the secretary at Harper Grade School.
She was so pretty and kind and all the little Harper girls wanted to grow up to be just like "Miss Betty"!
