

Lucy C. Yanez, born September 30, 1924 in Scottsdale, Arizona where she spent her childhood. Lucy married Alfred D. Yanez, Sr. and they had 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls. She was a full time homemaker and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
During World War II, Lucy volunteered as a safety guard for the military, during black outs she would see that people were secure in their houses.
Lucy, being a avid Dodger fan, would light her environment with shouts and yells when her team would make a scoring play. She also loved to play Bingo and Dominos. She always had a positive word to share with anyone around her. She loved her church and was devoted to reading her Bible.
She was an original member of "Los Cristianos" of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She also performed Catechism for over 10 years.
Lucy is survived by daughters, Lydia Lorigo of Delano, CA., Linda (Raymond) Hernandez of Bakersfield, CA., Janice (Lenard) Apostol of Delano, CA., Yvonne Juaraz of Bakersfield, CA., sons Albert (Antoinette) Yanez of Fresno, CA., Alfred (Maria) Yanez Jr. of Delano, CA., and Steven Yanez of Delano, CA.
We will celebrate her life with 39 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by husband, Alfred D. Yanez, Sr., daughter, Anna Gonzalez, sons, Andrew Yanez and Mark A. Yanez.
Pallbearer: Jesse Y. Lorigo, Raymond Y. Hernandez, Mark Apostol, Gabriel Yanez, Esteban M. Lorigo, Alfred Yanez, III., Nicholas Yanez.
