Christopher loved sports. His family has fond memories of game days watching the Carolina Tar Heels play, as they were his favorite college team. He also had a passion for basketball which can be traced back to his many years playing for Hickory Grove Baptist. When his time was not being occupied by sports, Chris loved cooking. Sharing his meals with loved ones brought him so much joy.
Christopher attended elementary school at Crown Point Elementary followed by Mint Hill Middle School, both located in Matthews, North Carolina. Chris also successfully completed his GED program and was proudly awarded his certificate upon completion.
His greatest joy and accomplishment in life was by far becoming a father to his beautiful daughter, Stormi Ferrell. His love for her was abundant. Stormi will continue to honor her father's memory by carrying on his legacy of love and laughter.
Christopher is survived by his ever-supportive parents, Lee Michele Corder and Douglas Ferrell. Their love will continue to keep his memory alive. He is also survived by his siblings, Maddie and Nick Ferrell (Kendal Greeno), who are grieving the loss of their first best friend. Christopher also leaves by behind his paternal grandmother, Martha Ferrell.
Christopher is equally survived by his nieces, Coraline and Scottlyn Ferrell, as well as his loving cousins and extended family who will forever be changed with his passing.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sonny Corder and Dianne Corder; as well as his paternal grandfather, Earl Jackson Ferrell.
A visitation for Christopher will be held from 6:00 until 7:30 pm Friday, May 3, 2024, at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, North Carolina 28227. A funeral service will be held 10 am Saturday, May 4, 2024, in the funeral home chapel, will interment to follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
