Clyde Emmitt Alston III passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2025, at his residence. His sudden passing has left his family, friends, and colleagues heartbroken and in shock. He was born on February 28, 1966, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Clyde Emmitt Alston Jr. and Elois Alston.
For more than thirty years, Clyde dedicated his professional life to Palm Mortuary. He took great pride in his work, the people he served alongside, and his role managing the care center. His compassion, commitment, and steady leadership earned the respect and appreciation of colleagues and families alike. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him.
Clyde will always remain in our hearts and will never be forgotten. He was a kind, soft-hearted, and generous man whose life left a lasting impression on many.
Clyde is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-nine years, Shannan Alston; his son, Clyde Emmitt Alston IV; and his daughter, Taylor Alston. He is also survived by his mother, Elois Alston; his sisters, Tonia, June, and Vicki; his aunts and uncles; his brother-in-laws; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Emmitt Alston Jr.; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his aunt; his uncles; his mother-in-law; and two brother-in-laws.
A funeral service will be held in his honor on Monday, January 5, 2026, starting at 1:00 pm at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Las Vegas, NV 89101.
