Gary Joseph Zemler, of Medical Lake, WA, passed away peacefully on November 01, 2023. Gary was born August 15, 1958 at Fairchild AFB to Edwin and Elaine Zemler. He loved the outdoors, his dogs, and time tinkering in his garage. The family moved to various Air Force bases and ultimately moved back to Fairchild AFB, where his father retired and the family settled in Medical Lake, WA.
Gary was active in scouting and he, along with his three brothers all obtained rank of Eagle Scout. Gary graduated from Medical Lake High School, Class of 1976, followed by a Master Electronics Technician Degree from Spokane Valley Community College. He was very mechanically inclined and could build or repair almost anything. He worked for a time at an oil refinery in Montana, then located to Everett where he retired from Scott Paper/Kimberly-Clark Paper Company at the Everett, WA plant. He was gifted and determined and despite a severe injury to his arm, he built a house, repaired anything that was broken, and assisted his parents with the family rental business, managing all the upkeep and maintenance of the properties.
Gary was dedicated to his family, assisting his parents in their later years and was a favorite uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Elaine Zemler, his son, Heath Zemler, his in-laws, Edgar and Daphne Raezer and sister-in-law, Linda (Raezer) Hattendorf.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan (Raezer) Zemler, brothers and their wives, Mark and Tammie, Paul and Linda and John and Wanda, In-laws, Vera and Jon Wellner, Daphne and Eldon Johnson, Ed and Angela Raezer and Chris and Linda Raezer, plus numerous nieces, and nephews.
